Completed in January of 1999, the 42-unit Fernie StoneCreek Chalets provided Streetside’s first experience in both the recreational market and modular construction. The project featured a stacked townhouse design with separate exterior entries for each unit to enable easy year-round maintenance.
Exterior features included cedar siding, peeled log and river rock trims, all capped by an autumn-coloured metal roof. The project attracted people looking for a recreational residence and investment vehicle in a quiet mountain setting. The homes were offered in a ‘turn-key’ manner with custom-designed and manufactured furniture and 7 appliances.
